Using Your Gift is An Act of Worship

You are gifted!

Everyone has received talents or gifts from God.

No one is without a gift or a special ability.

Some have found theirs while some others may still not be sure of theirs.

It is your responsibility to discover the precious deposit you’ve been blessed with.

It’s time for you to start using the gifts & talents God has given you!

Maybe in the past, you have put yourself down seeing no value in you or any contribution you can make or bless others with. Now you are aware that you are worth more than you think!  Make a decision to step out and take ownership of the wonderful gifts you’ve been endowed with and allow them operate and flow through you!

God is expecting you to use these gifts to serve him and your fellow men.

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.” – 1 Peter 4:10-11, NIV

In order to do this, you have to:

1. Discover your talents

Here are some ways to find what you are good at:

  • Prayers

  • Paying attention to what you enjoy doing,

  • Asking others

2. Be grateful to God for your gifts & talents.

3. Put those gifts & talents to good use.

4. Look for opportunities to work together and partner with others.

5. Be accountable and a good steward of the gifts & talents. Understand that the gift in your possession belongs to God. You are only a caretaker. No boasting, arrogance or pride. Having this mindset keeps you grounded and humble, knowing that you will one day give an account of how you have used this gift to God.

PRAYER

God, I thank you for the privilege of being gifted by you and having your gifts in my life. I want to use them for your glory and to benefit others. I am deeply sorry for ignoring these gifts and wasting time waiting for the perfect timing and occasion to use them instead of getting started. I now make the decision to step out in faith and put these gifts to use. Use me to bless others through your power in these gifts. Be glorified o! God as I consciously choose to let them start operating in and through me today.

It’s in Jesus’ name I pray, amen!
